- The National Content Development and Management Board (NCDMB) has launched its 2025 Field Readiness Program to train 10,000 Nigerians in high-demand skills for the oil and gas industry. The NCDMB Oil and Gas Training program covers medical checks, monthly stipends, personal protective equipment, and insurance coverage for a period of three years.
- The program, themed the Oil and Gas Field Readiness Training Program, is designed to prepare graduates and technicians for opportunities in new projects driven by the recent resurgence of major investments in Nigeria’s energy sector. Additionally, the NCDMB Oil and Gas Training will be delivered in partner ship with at least three service companies in each skill area to deliver hands-on experience and ensure participants are ready for employment.
The eligibility requirements for the NCDMB Oil and Gas Field Readiness Training are as follows:
- Must be a Nigerian.
- Must be below the age of 35 years.
- Must hold an OND, HND, or BSc degree in Engineering, Sciences, Technology, or related disciplines.
The training covers critical areas for the industry:
- Sub-Sea Engineering
- Underwater Welding Engineering
- Control & Automation Engineering
- Drilling Engineering
- Helicopter Piloting
- Marine Operations
- Production & Maintenance Engineering
- QA/QC Engineering (NDT 1-3)
- Geoscience Engineering
- Digitization & Digitalization (AI, IOT, Drones)
