The storm, which destroyed several homes, claimed a life, and left others injured, has brought great sorrow to all who have witnessed the tragedy. In this difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with the families who lost their loved ones, those nursing injuries, and everyone whose lives have been disrupted by this natural disaster.
The pain of losing a home, a family member, or sustaining injuries cannot be easily described in words. As fellow community members and brothers in humanity, we stand in solidarity with the people of Ilesha, ready to support in any way we can—through donations, moral support, and collaboration with local authorities and relief agencies to provide immediate and long-term assistance.

This tragedy serves as a solemn reminder of the need for improved disaster preparedness and climate resilience, especially in rural and vulnerable areas. We therefore recommend the following solutions to help prevent or reduce the impact of such disasters in the future:
1. Early Warning Systems: Installation of community-based early warning systems to alert residents of impending weather threats.
2. Improved Housing Standards: Encouraging the use of more durable and weather-resistant building materials for homes and public structures, with support from local government and development agencies.
3. Tree Planting and Environmental Management: Promoting afforestation and environmental care to reduce the impact of strong winds and erosion.
4. Community Awareness Campaigns: Regular education and sensitization of residents on how to respond during severe weather events.
